Tiny secrets!

Hello everybody. Let's share what to tell your teacher /boyfriend/girlfriend when you are late. I think that all of us have a lot of stories and special moments in our life. And I would like to learn them for my life experience. Do not be afraid that somebody will know whose story it is:-)

Well... usually I try to make an excuse sound plausible and at the same time funny. Like if I'm late for my lessons my excuse would be "Sorry for my tardiness teacher but there was nothing I could do! The metro Had a traffic jam".

To be honest I would say the truth...but sometimes it's not ok. It depens on people, some of them would be angry and some would appreciate your joke.

Well I try to not be late for things that are really important (like a plane) or keep people waiting. Sadly we cannot predict the conditions that we must face be it a traffic jam or say a hurricane.

I used to say that I was held up in the Dean's office, as I was a monitor of the group. But so far as I was an excellent student, our teachers never actually were angry with me at my being late. I must add that I was rarely late.

Actually, I hate to be late! Lately it takes place so often, that becomes very ashamed!Sometimes I think of excuses, but more frequent tell the truth or try to forestall when I will be late.

I don't like when somebody makes me waiting and I hate to be late!
For me It's easier to go out beforehand.
As you can see the most popular reason of being late is a traffic jam.
I'd like to add that traffic is terrible in Moscow...And very often the situation on the road is unpredictable!!!

it depends on a person...if it is my boyfriend i would tell truth...if it is a teacher...again it will be truth...i can't see any reason to lie....BUT if it is MUM!!!!!!! sometimes i ought to lie.....and after my speech i feel soooooooooooooooo uncomfortabe......but few months or, even , years i tell truth))))))

It as a way of life. Here with such people it is better not to agree at all about a meeting! They very much irritate me!

What do you count as lying? If a person ommits a couple of fact would you count it a lie?

Anonymous said...

Oh, Real_Blond, I can understand you! I hate to lie!!! And I don't lie to everybody except my mum(not every time, but very often=) )! And I don't like to be late! I am late very seldom and ask my friends be in time too.

ooo...i`m don`t like to be late and I don`t like when someone are late. I was brought up this way by parents. I`m punctual person.
But if i`m late...it only because something unexpected happens. Certainly, if I am late, I will warn the person about it.

Well, I always tell the truth, because I don't like when people are late and moreover they try to make up a fairytale, I think it's not politely.

As I often live abroad I am not used to being late - so I never have to lie. As for my parents - thay never asked me about the reasons. All my friends are punctual too. So, I can say that I am lucky with it.

Hi everyone, it is london_calling. To be late for me it is some kind of a nonsence. To every important meeting or event i usually come on time or in 10 minuets earlier. So if i late then it can be only in lessons and in this situation i try to do something funny.

hi,friends! As most of you, I hate to be late!!!I become veeery nevrous, when I know that somebody is waiting for me!so,I try to avoid it. But when I was a schoolchild, my friend really used to be late! And her excuses always were so unreal (for example, she often felled to puddles that's why had to return home and change her clothes), that I understood that the truth is always the best excuse!

Oh, I remembered That once I said to my teacher that I was late because my mom was ill, that actually wasn't true. And next day my mom got seriously ill. I was so frightened - you cannot imagine! After that I try not to lie why I am late, and usually, as you know - I am not late. But if it happenes, I say that I was waiting for the bus, or was held up in the underground. Frankly speaking if I am in fact help up in the underground I become VERY nervous because of the possibility that I CAN be late. I hate this feeling, and I wish I were less responsible.

Hi everyone, it's Onotole.
I actually don't see the point in lying about the reasons of being late. In my opinion, it's better to tell the truth, because when someone starts lying and telling stupid stories about his lift got stuck...you know, it looks funny and pitiful.

oh, for me it's better to tell the truth too. I can't say a lie...after saing lie I alweys feel small...( but some times I can!))in my small town...when I late for a meeting with boy, some times I tell him thet perents asked me to sit some minutes with small sisters!))it works!!!))

Oh, hi friends!
Usually there are two phrases - one for my girlfriend and one for my teachers!
The first one (if I'm late to a meet to my girlfriend) sounds like this - "Sorry, sweet, but as usual on sunday (depens on the day of meet) I was saving the planet!" and it usually works!)))))
The second one - "Sorry, but there were so terrible trafic jams in subway, you can not imagine!!!" This one is for my teachers, but it doesn't work so often like the first)))))

E.Yu, once I had the same situation... about mom. And now, I'm afraid of even thinking about illness or misfortune of my dearest. I believe that sometimes thought can materialize. Because that happened to me many times.

Hi, everybody!
My father always tought me that real gentleman must never be late, and it doesn't matter - were you late because of the traffic or because of you have slept two hours more. So, because of my fathers lectures, I usually arrive to the meeting places just 10 or 15 minutes before.

I'm never late. And when people is late I prefer for them to say the trught why they have done it!!!

E.Yu. said...

LOL!
My God! How phony! Really I could not keep away from commenting! Those people who are ALWAYS late for the classes write that they are NEVER late... It could have been funny if it weren't so sad...

If i'm late somewhere i always trying to warn the person about it, but sometimes i couldn't do that, but i always excuses when i'am late

Bombastikk said...

What i`ve learned, that the best way of avoiding such situations and unnecessary lie is to warn about it. This would make you life easier.

Oh, I missed this topic...
As for me, I hate to be late! I hate it all my heart... And as a rule I try to avoid coming late. I live far from the university and every morning leave my home at 7 a.m. But nevertheless I can be late because of the traffic jams or our stupid 17 bus, which drives one time per 40 minutes!
But actually I'm a rather punctual person (and I hate when somebody is late=))
