Are PHRASAL VERBS the ones uses in phrases or the ones used by phrase-mongers?..

Hello, small fries,
Here I am writing the questions for you to answer. Please, repeat the phrasal verbs in your answers. As I usually add, your answers must be intriguing.-:) You as well must add some supporting sentences to make your idea more obvious. (I have also asked my friend to publish the first comment as an example for you.)
Here we go:
1) Do your parents cut back your pocket money as a way of punishment?
2) Have you ever had to cut down on anything?
3) If you see your teachers/bosses speaking and you have to ask a very important question will you dare to cut in?
4) If you want to visit a friend, can you drop in without warning him/her?
5) What can force a student to drop out from university?
6) Do you feel for bums?
7) Has there ever been somebody in your class/group who didn’t/doesn’t fit in?
8) What is the most important thing a linguistic lab must be fitted out with?
9) How many people did you fly at?
10) Have you ever been cheated out of a sum of money?
11) When your friends come to visit you, do your parents check up on you from time to time?
12) What kinds of business usually fold up during financial crises?
13) Has your academic rating ever dropped off considerably?
14) What subjects would you cut out of the curriculum?
15) Have you ever pretended to be cut off in the middle of an unpleasant phone talk?
Best,
E.Yu.

Yah, it’s been time… I again have to do homework for other guys!!! Will it stop?! (Small fries – is funny though)
1)Now, it’s me who cuts back their pocket money as a way of punishment (joke). As a matter of fact they never cut back my poc. money, just didn’t let me go out with friends (which is more cruel to my mind.)
2)Aha, I had to cut down on smoking, because of some health problems – was not able to run after the train/bus – instantly got out of my wind.
3)I think, no. Unless it is a question of life and death. Bosses usually don’t like when their talk is cut into.
4)I could, but I can’t do it now. My friends now are all married and with children. I simply have to warn them that I want to drop in. However I have just thought that I have a couple of guys who are always ready to drink some beer, they certainly wouldn’t mind my dropping in on a sudden.
5)Unhappy love can force a student to drop out from university. No kidding. E. Yu. once told me about a guy who got crazy this way and dropped out eventually.
6)Frankly? No, I don’t feel for bums. Just disgusted.
7)Yeah, I remember a boy in my school group. He didn’t fit in and other guys bullied him. Now I feel ashamed.
8)A linguistic lab must necessarily be fitted out with a tape-recorder. All other things are less important. I believe, if you can listen and comprehend, you can do everything (in terms of language studying.)
9)I only flew at one person, when a schoolboy. I lost, that’s why I don’t fly at people anymore.-
10)I am THE CLEVEREST – I haven’t been cheated out of money. But I know one person who you all know – she was once cheated out of money – a very funny story, ask her, she likes telling about it.
11)I am living far from my parents. When I was younger they didn’t check up on me and my friends, as they completely trusted me. Knowing all we were doing, if I were a parent now, I would check up on my child every other minute.
12)I guess banks are most common to fold up.
13)Mine has NEVER dropped off. I was a nerd. Very proud of the fact.
14)I don’t remember the curriculum anymore. Just remember I hated economics and mathematics. Would certainly cut them out.
15)Millions of times. I often pretended to be cut off in the middle of the phone talk with my mom, when she wanted to have me home in ten minutes.

1) Well, I hope I'm enough grown-up not to be punished anyhow. In fact I don't remember my parents cut back my pocket money.
2)Time to time I have to cut down on chocolate, bread and other things that, I think, all girls like. I'am a bit crazy about being slim.
3)It depends. When I have something extremely important to say and I see that they speak about odd things, then I will cut in. Otherwise I'll keep silence till they finish. I'm very polite. ))
4)I never drop in without warning. As for me, I hate being disturbed and I want people to respect my private life. That's why I respect private live of the others.
5)There are poor little things, who just have chosen not THEIR university. The absence of interest can be the reason for droping out from the university. And thank Goodness they do it. It's better to correct your mistake than to suffer all the life long.
6)The bums, I have seen, are drunk and hopeless. Probably I'm an evil man, but I really don't feel for them. It's blame on them that they have become what they are.
7)Of course. Especially in my childhood. To my mind, there is no group of children, that has not a poor lamb, who can not fit in. Children are cruel.
8)Hm, I don't know...our labs are fitted out with something and it's OK and quite enough for me. In fact, I lack for practise, not for equipment.
9)Well, I think I am to restraind and...prudent to fly at somebody! If I did, it was just an affect, and I don't remember it.)
10)Yes, I have! It was a gipsy in the train who cheated me out of about one hundret roubles. She said she would tell my fortune and I was hypnotized so to say. I was really broken and even cried.
11)My mother likes to check up on us, 'cause she likes to communicate with young people. In fact it doesn't irritate us.
12)Oh, what a question... You know, i'm afraid I'm too light-minded to know anything about crisis and so on. Some weak, little and very honest companies- they fold up, am I right?..
13)Sometimes my academic rating dropped off, but not considerably. I try to study and to be responsible.
14)Hm, let me think... I think we need everyhing we have and it's no use in cutting anything out. By the way, as I study at the evening departure, I don't have physical training. I'm a lucky!
15)I'm afraid I'm a too bad actress to pretend. But sometimes I really hate to speak by the phone that I'd prefer to be cut off.

Ok, now it's my turn... Shall we start? =)

1)I'm already of age. So my parents have no need to cut back my pocket money and, a fortiori, to punish me. I have a head on the shoulders. So, I can control my spending myself.
2)The life consists of lucky and unlucky streaks. And sometimes it depends on money. So, to my mind, everyone at least once had to cut down on anything. Besides, there are so many cute things you can buy. And it doesn't matter, is it a white elephant or not, when you understand that you need only this thing.
3) That depends on the situation. If it is a really urgent question, I think it's OK to ask a permission to cut in and explain the essence of the matter in short. But if you have an opportunity to wait and the situation makes it possible, of course it's better not to interrupt anyone.
4) As far as I'm concerned, I'd prefer not to drop in without warning, because people can be busy or just not at home. But if I want to make a surprise to anyone with a sudden visit, I'll try to find out if the person is busy or not and what the best time to visit it would be, so that I disturb no one with an unexpected appearance.
5) There a lot of reasons that can lead to the expulsion. It can be laziness, inability to study, lack of interest, domestic reasons and so on. But of course it's sad when people leave the things uncompleted and give up anything. I'll never drop out from university, I promise! =)
6)I think it's very difficult not to feel for bums. They have nothing. When I see a bum, I think about his mother, who loves her child and wishes everything would be good, or loved...
But this problem has the other side of the coin. Bums have no wish to work. They gave up and don't even try to do anything to improve the situation. Maybe they are happy... They have no need to get up early, hurry, think about global problems, they just live. The only problem for them is to find something to eat... or drink.
7) It must be admitted that in every group of people there is always a social outcast. And our group is not an exception. We do our best to keep in touch with this person, but everyone of us know in our heart of hearts that we'll never be friends and keep on the conversation because we just only study together. Unfortunately this person will never fit in.
8)I have no ideas in fact =)
9)The only person I usually fly at is my Dad. Though it's the only man on the earth who I love so much, besides my cat of course =))
10)Two days ago I bought shoes. It turns out that they are of poor quality... Man, I was cheated out of a sum of money!
11) No, my parents are with good manners, they don't check up on me. They just can join to my friends and me, if they have time.
12) Only troublesome and unreliable business can fold up, that's my point.
13) As far as English is concerned, I think my academic rating has dropped off. Certainly I'll try to do my best to improve the situation!
14) There are lot of subjects I myself consider unnecessary and would cut out of the curriculum =) First of all it is Philosophy, Culturology, Phonetics. Are we going to vote? =)
15) In fact it's not a pleasure at all to be cut off. I'm not an adherent of such a way of ending the talk. To my mind it's at least impolite.

1) Now they don't cut back my pocket money... But frankly speaking the sometimes cut my pocket money, when I was at school)
2) When I need to buy something, that I really need and can't live without it, I try to save some money and that's why I cut down on waste.
3) It's not very polite to cut into conversation, but if my question is of a great importance to me, I think, I would cut in.
4) Hmm... it's a very delicate question...To my mind a person can drop out from university, when for example he needs money and has to work to pay rent and he can't combine his job with his study... may be then...
5) I don't think I would drop in without saying anything. Because I as well as you hate unexpected quests, who can ruin you plans...)
6) Sometimes I do, I really feel for bums, some of them are really miserable... But when some of them annoys me or tries to talk to me and becomes too obtrusive, I get furious..
7) Unfortunately there were several people in my class, who didn’t fit it. (not me of course:-)) They were bullied and I really felt for them. But some bad guys in my class did not and every time they flew at those poor boys or girls, when something was wrong.
8) The main points, I think are TVsets, computer(s), books, dictionaries also Internet is desirable and the most important thing a linguistic lab must be fitted out with, are the cabins with head(ear)-phones (I don’t know, what it is really called in English ). With the help of these things students would not drop out of a university :) they would listen to their lecturer very attentively)
9) As for me, I’m a very calm and balanced person, that’s why I don’t like flying at people at all, but if I’m so angry, that I can’t control myself….. why not…?)
10) Fortunately the destiny was merciful to me and I was not cheated out of a sum of money.
11) When my friends drop in, there are of cause no parents in)) That’s why I’m very lucky to have no one to be checked up on by.
12) From my point of view the organizations and corporations, that have had no steady financial position before the crisis or which sales have rapidly dropped off, were on the verge of folding up and during the crisis left from the international market. For example General Motors separated from the concern «Opel» because of low sales.
13) I would say now it is icreasing and I know now how to render and summary texts and articles in English! It’s a great success!)
14) Frankly speaking I do hate philosophy! To my mind it’s the most boring subject on the world! But generally everything depends on the lecturer in this case. That’s why I would cut out only this subject.
15) Of course I have!)) I don’t know a person who hasn’t done it! If a phone talk is unpleasant to me, I would do something with my phone and pretend being cut into)

That you for the questions! It was a very interesting exercise for me and I’m not joking! I have learnt all these phrasal verbs!!! It’s a good way to remember such things!)

either to fire us or to incinerate with their mad glance.
4) My friends are always glad to see me at their place. They do not mind my dropping in without official invitation.
5)Je ne sais pas. Perhaps, bad academic rating, private prolems... When all the troubles have clustered, the situation is unbearable and the student drops out from the University.
6)This question wants a separate discussion. I can not answer the question only in one sentence.
7)I do not remember anybody in my schoollife and now in my studentslife , who did not or does not fit in the rest of the group.

12)Traditionally, banks, tourist firms, when they are incompetitive.
13)Not cosiderably, but since schoolyears it has dropped off a little.
14) All the subjects, that are not connected with language and history.
15)I do not pretend that the talk cut off.I let the man understand that I do not want to talk with him and cotinue this insenible rigmarole.
