Dear, Sisi! What a perfect topic!=)
I think we can everlastingly speak about interesting places in Moscow, because it's a really amazing city...
As for me I like a lot of Moscow's places: Patriarshie Ponds, Vorobievy Gory, Gorky Park, Kropotkinskaya station, numerous fascinating boulevards. It's hard to me to choose the favourite place, because I like all Moscow, especially the centre of it...
Hello everybody!) To begin with, Moscow is a very large city, moreover it's the largest city in Europe! And there is a great number of wonderful places in it. But all people have their own preferences and tastes. As for me, my most favourite sights of the Moscow city are: Arbat, Tsarskoe Selo and of course Red Square (I think it's just impossible to stay indifferent to the heart of our capital, which is also recognized to be a UNESCO World Heritage Site ). I like these places because they just do strike me with beauty and greatness of their architecture. Every building of these streets is a real masterpiece keeping its own unique history and I can admire them endlessly!
Oh, dear Sisi, thank you for the topic! Although Moscow is not my native city, but I can say, that I love it with all my heart =)
Most of all I like walking the boulevards, especially Gogolevskiy and Nikitskiy… There are a lot of benches, old trees, ancient lamps, small and cosy cafes… At night they always charm me with their romantic appearance…
What is more, the bang of the Moscow River really impresses me! You can hardly meet here crowds of people and it is usually quiet, so you can seat on the bench or walk along the bang, enjoying the beauty of the water, the park and the silence…
I always lose my heart in these wonderful places… and, as for me, these tiny parts of our huge city seem to be the perfect places for walking to sweethearts…
My favourite places are boulevadrs (Bulvarnoe kol'tso) for their calmness and traditional spirit in the center of the capital and small streets around Tverskaya. I don't have the foggiest idea why I like them, but every time I meet my friends we roam around them before going to a cafe.
Hey)
Im a native muscovite but i cant say that i know all its streets, museum etc.And as i know that more that 50 percent of us dont know it too( Its realy realy bad!!and awfully...so the question was my favourite places...i realy like Old Arbat it could be o grat just to walk there ant i know some good bars there)...and i live not so far from Vorobievy Gory i have been there 1000 of times)...and in the past year we went there after exams...its so calm there just some walkers) i realy recommend you to go there im summer and just relax there)
I don't know why I don't like Old Arbat - I think it's because to my mind it lost some historical magic - too commercialised, too crowdy nowadays. Moreover the service in the cafes is bad, the food is not tasty - I go there only if I don't feel like going too far, or if I am too tired to go somewhere else.
Yeah,Inkviz, You're right that nobody knows all Moscow...As for me,I know not many places, but I love them))That's VDNHK,streets of Old Arbat, Bitsevsky Park near my house, center of Moscow. Today I walked at Vorobievy Gory and I liked that place too)
My favourite place is the Moscow river - I like steamboat walks along it in the summer. The thing that is bound to the river is bridges - I like them very much. What's more - I have liked Poklonnaya Gora since I was a student and we went to drink beer there. I don't drink beer anymore, but I like the place still now.
Hi everybody,2 days ago i was in very cool place La Cantina. It is very close to Red Squre. There were a lot of american and english people. So i had there practice in english, and you can try soup with tequila(текила),and very good black beer, very nice weiteress and barmen:-)And you can dance there, listen to life music and so on.
I don't know Moscow because I'm not from this town...))but I want to know it and to know many beutiful and interesting places. Now my favorit place is Red sguare and near it))and I think that there are many places that perfect at night...
hi everybody! there are, no doubt, lots of interesting places in our capital which are still unknown for the majority of us! i'm not a muscovite and i like to discover more and more interesting places. the most favourite place for me is not far from our univercity. my friend took me there last year and i fell in love with it at once! it is the roof of a house by the troparev park. the view from there is really fantastic!!! when i felt disappointed or, on the contrary, excited, i used to come there and relax or have fun with friends! the impression of that place is unforgetable!!!
Dear Sisi!
If I will talk about ALL places in Moscow, wich I can call favourite, it will take about three or four hours! :)
One of my most favourite places in this city is Vorobievu Goru. I spend a lot of time there on weekend with my friends. My trainings also pass there. I can not explain why am I often pulls there. I just feel calming when I am walking there.
The second one is cafe "Chocoladnica" near the subway station Tulskaia. It is not special, just one of many others round Moscow. But this is my favourite. Why? Just because I like to seat in a soft armchear drinking cofe and look out through the window on the street full of life... Especially in winter. And this one near Tylskaia is the first cafe, where I found this, when I was depressed.
Something like that... :)
As for me I don't live in Moscow(and frankly speaking I don't want to, cause I like my little town 25km from the capital))) That's why I have no idea about some special, beautifull and intresting places in Moscow. Only about famous one. (it have been mentioned already)
mmm...and by the way I like our capital (and other cities)at night...their flashing lights, illumination of buildings and so on.
And what about you?
Hi everybody, i can recommend one more place next to Kutuzovskiy prospekt,it is for people who likes very good pizza, name of this place "Pinokio", it is wonderful italian restaurant, where you always can listen to good musik, relax, and eat a big piese of pizza.
It is hard for me to point out some places of visit in Moscow, bacause I love this city very much and I think that the whole Moscow is worth seeing with all it's parks, streets, museums, theatres and so on....))))
My dear Sisi!
As for me sometimes my favourite place in Moscow is my home.) Because after university I'm very tired and the best place for me is my flat, especially at winter.
Nevertheless I don't like staying at home all the time, I like walking very much especially in different parks and I have one very nice near my house. The center in Moscow is very beautiful but I think people in the center of Moscow always are in a hury and I can't call this atmosphere relaxing
Thank you for your comments*))I really like our city very much. I like the centre of it, streets. I don't like St. Arbat, but now it has some changes. Who know's, may be it will be better? Moreover I like our embankments. Just to walk near it, especially on nights.
Not long ago I found one cafe, that I realy liked It's called "Listja" and situated at station Krasnie Vorota. What interesting places to visit you know?*)
As i can see now i can tell about my favourite restaurant in Moscow)) in fact there are lots of good restaurants and cafes...as i already sad on our lesson i realy like Indian dishs...and i would recommend you all to go to indian restaurant on the roof of the hotel "Sputnik"...food there realy delicious but you shoul be careful because its realy spicy! If you dont like too spicy food just ask waiter to make it more adapted to your taste....ooo and 2 special things about this restaurant...1)All the waiters there are native Hindus...2)The view from windows shows all Moscow as on a hand it soo romantic at night when Moscow full of lights...realy try this restaurant you wount regret gooing there!!
Maybe I'm a commonplace, but I like museums very much. Moscow has about 80 museums, such as the most famous is the State Tretyakov Gallery. If you visit Moscow, you must see the masterpieses which are exibited there. Also there are many others:The Pushkin Museum Of Fine Arts, Alexei Bakhrushin Theatre Meseum etc.Certainly,I like to go to restaurents with my parents or friends, but my favourite is restaurant "Prague"
I like museums as well. I used to make a living by taking foreigners to to the museums and telling them things. My favourite one is State Historical Museum - as I know the exposition well, maybe.
Thank you for this interesting topic!
As for me,Moscow is a wonderful city!Very beautiful!I am interested in history very much.I like museums,but especially I like architectural monuments:palaces, houses,fortresses,cathedrals...
Thats why I like The Red square,The Kremlin and The St.Basil`s Cathedral on the Rad square. If I like the place,I can visit i several times to see all details,to learn everything
Well... My favourits are: my home without a doubt)) What about such places as Red Square etc... I don't really like those, probably because it`s all known places.
They're always crowded, dirty and so on... Not something I would be proud of.
I enjoy visiting parks... My favourite so far are Kolomenskoe park and Tsaritsino.Lovely places. I prefer to visit them on week days, when there isn't so much crowd...moreover there are lots of foreigners)))
As I`am a shopaholic, I can`t not remind about a shopping mall called Okhotny Riad)) It's near to the Red Square, Manezhaya Square and Alexandrovsky garden.
I like Moscow with all my heart!!! And it seems to me, if you just stand and listen, it is possible to hear breath of the city and it's heart beating. It is really a magic city! Most of other places in Moscow I love old Arbat for it's charm and spirit of olden time.
Well, well, well... what can I tell...Moscow is not my native city!!!!! I love Moscow for it’s singularity))) Especially I like old, abandoned streets in Moscow… five-storeys.. Even sometimes two-storeys with old balconies..!!! Such places calm, here there are not enough people and any futility..)) Moreover, I like Moscow's supermarkets such as "Mega.." I may stay here all day long
Hi everybody,i want to recomend you one place next to our campus,it calles "Dionis" there u can use internet free, but if u want to eat u have to wait for a long time a waiter, and after when u become angry sleepy weiter comes and ask u what would u like to eat,but in that moment u dont want to anything and just go away from this cafe. And one day i was there with my friend and we aet and drank something and started to looking for a waiter, but nobody could help us,so we just went home.I think everybody has to visit this place,i am joking.
Hi everyone! I' am a new commer so i knew only several great places in Moscow and for me the best place to walk is Patriarshi Prudi. Gorgeous old buildings, tiny nice streets, great cafes and of course it is very quite there. Today best cafe foe me is "Abagur: home cafe" on Tsvetnoy bulvar.

Oh, dear Anonymous, Patriarch's pounds is one of my most favorite places too! =) moreover my most favorite café is situated there - “the Volkonskij” =) It’s a very small and rather cosy coffee house with amazing cakes and hot drinks… most of all I like going there with my friends in summertime - we usually buy there something very tasty, go with it to the pounds and, while eating, we seat on the lawn near the water and have a chat… I really adore such way of spending time =)
Oh, Sisi...it is realy good topic))
hm...my favourite places in Moscow...i can`t say exactly...but i like night Moscow, especially night centre of it. I realy don`t know what to say more...i love this city with all my heart )))
Dear snowflake and anonymous! I also like Patriarshye Ponds very much. And my favorite place there is a small cozy French cafe "Shantimel"because there is so calm and romantic atmosphere... I think, snowflake, you understand me...and my hint)
ооо..))You speak about cafe!! Have you ever visited cafe " Shikidim " in the center of Moscow??? It is reported that only in this place it is possible to attempt the original Turkish delights and Turkish tea)))
Yes, dear Lasvegas, I have taken your hint…and I am happy, that you still remember our wonderful walks =)
Dear Shikidim, now I understand, why you choose this nickname=) … I have heard about your favorite café many times! I have never been there, but I am going to visit it in the near future…so can you describe, where exactly it is situated?
…By the way, I want to thank everybody, who has written anything in this topic, because I have known a lot of interesting places in Moscow!! and I am sure – the next time, when I don’t know, what to do, I won’t spend much time, thinking about, where to go=)
Hi everybody, thank to everybody because i was in several places from these comments and they are really great places. And i want to recomend to everybody to visit "Lotto Plaza", i was there only once, but it was so wonderful food, waiters, restaurant, and ofcourse musik and so on...
Dear Snowflake!!!! I will describe where this café situated late….I don’t remember)))Now, I haven’t got a time to find it on the internet!!! I think that after our exams we may visit some cafes together))But we should have good marks, if we really want to do it!!!
Dear Snowflake, of course I remember, because I love it very much=)
Dear Shikidim, oh I also heard about this cafe. that you've described. And I support your suggestion (about visiting this or some cafe together=)) with great pleasure.
I told you already about my favourite cafe - Coffee Bean on Tverskaya Street. I love this place because I think that it has atmospere.
But if I am really hungry I go to Venecia restaurant on Strastnoy boulevard. This place has a great chef and a big salle non-fumeur - the fact very important for me.
hi,everybody!!why are we speaking mostly about cafes and restaurants??may be somebody could recommend any theatre to visit? I really want to watch a perfomance, but I can't choose any..( does anybody likes theaters in general??
Dear, enkely, it's my dream to visit some famous theatre in Moscow, but I can't do that, unfortunately=(
Firstly, I don't have enough time for it and secondly, my friends dont like watching performancies and it will be very difficult to persuade them=(
..I also would like to add that I adore different Moscow trade houses, where you can meet with your friends and eat with them something delicious in one of the inner cafes, or just buy a new dress or the book, you've wished to read for so many times before...What's more I'd like to note that my attitude to some places of our capital can be changing from time to time. It depends on many factors (for instance - on my mood or on the concrete weather). For example, I don't like how Dmitrovskaya Sreet looks in winter. To my mind it's more beautiful in summertime..Weii, every person has his owh whims))..
Well, I know one very lovely place to eat it's "Buloshnaya" on Lyalin alley. The food there is delicious. And one more place I avise you to go is "Pokrovskie vorota" devoted to the film(one of my favourite). It is on crossing between Chistoprudniy boulevard and Pokrovka street.
Well since my school was located pratically in the center of Moscow I would usually spend time near Strastnoi Boulvared, Movie theatre Pushkinski, The Red square (not surprising), Manej and my personale favorite Kolomanskie park (which is not located near Moscow centre but is a beutiful place none the less and a must visit). Now if your looking for a bite to eat I reccomend either Kommergerskie Side-street or the old Arbat, each have a bountiful array of cafes and resturants.
I like the center of Moscow because of it's business and a great number of tourists =) Since my language course has started I walk in the ceter practically every day. Especially I like Ohotniy Ryad. On Tuesday I saw white carriage with lighting garlands standing near the National Hotel and it was so beautiful in the late evening!!
As for me....i like Arbat...Nescuchniy sad....red sqare...but most of all i like Vorobyevi gory, especialy at night..when shadows from the buildings and lights you can see on the water...WWWOOOOWWWWW!!!!!-(it's like that)))))) ahahaha)))) i guess everybody understood me))))))KKIISSS YOUUUU))))))
I reaaly like to around Gorki Park in spring a I really like Neskuchnii sad too!this is fomantic, nice place...If you mean place for set i cant note Kakao tree..it is very cosy cafe which specialised on sweet)))yami-yami)))
Onotole speaking.
First of all I should tell you I don't like Moscow AT ALL. Why? Well, I used to like it 5 years ago, before my trip to St. Petersburg. That trip was such an unusual experience! Quite streets, beautiful architechture, friendly people, calm life... I don't know how to express my feelings - who'd been there will understand. Then I came back to Moscow and it was like a shock, my mind had completely changed. What seemed to me normal before now made me depressed and all. Maybe Moscow is just not my type of a city, I don't now... But I really don't like it.
Moscow by itself)) It is the city of unimaginable contrasts. I prefer the "peshkodrapom" method) as i like to walk and to look all around, but as a sportsmen i `d prefer Vorobievi Gory and Rizhskay) as there are basketball playgrounds.
Yesterday I’ve been to a wonderful restaurant “tête-a-tête”. This is a very cosy place with atmosphere of France. Really it’s a little France in Moscow. There you can listen to marvelous French music, to watch sightseeing of France on a big tv and of course to taste delicious dishes.
E.Yu you will enjoy it. I recommend you to visit this place.
C’est une place magnifique!!!!))))
