People often say that our room (flat) can show who we are. I really don’t know if it is true or not. I guess it can give some hints, though.
When I come to visit someone, I, for instance, pay attention to the presence of books, photos or souvenirs. I don’t know why I think it is important. Maybe because there are a lot of books in my flat. In fact we’ve got a huge library. I've always liked reading and in spite of the fact that nowadays I read mostly e-books, I still love to lie down with an old paper one. From time to time I classify my books, they are arranged according to the genre or the author. I’ve got several shelves of English and American literature. A shelf of French historical books, a shelfstand of Russian literature with classical novels, books about the Second World War, Stalin’s epoch, as well as modern novels. There are also detectives. (I disagree with the ones who say that they are trash reading. Some detective writers are awesome!) And I’ve got pictures practically on all the shelves. Of me, of my family, of me and my family, of the places we visited. Having these photos makes me feel cozy. Then there are souvenirs. I’ve got plenty of then. Some remind me of my friends. Some were presented by my students (some are even hand-made!). Some are bought by myself… I love my room much.

There is only one problem with all those things – they collect dust. And I have to raise each one to dust the shelves – a very hateful process. -:)

We live in a new flat in one of the residential areas of our city. It is a three-room flat of a typical block of flats with a lift and rubbish chute. Our flat is on the fifth floor. As you enter our flat, you find yourself in a small entrance-hall, and from there you can go to the rooms: the living-room, my parent's bedroom and my room.
I use my room as a study and a bedroom. My room is a very comfortable one. It has its advantages, though it is the smallest room in our flat. The only window in my room faces the green park, which is situated near our house. It is so nice to look out of the window in a bright sunny day! The view is really wonderful. The walls of my room are papered in a design of gray and silver strips and the curtains on the window match the wallpaper perfectly. The built-in furniture doesn't take much space in it. There is a writing table with a reading-lamp on it. I always keep there my notes, text-books, pens and pencils, felt-pens, biros, refills, pencil-case, pencil sharpeners, booklets, posters, pads, newspapers, magazines and other necessary knik-knacks, as my parents used to say.
There is a built-in wardrobe in the right-hand corner of the room with coat-hangers to hang clothes on. Opposite the wardrobe there is a bookcase full of books, journals and newspapers. Near the writing-table there is a standard lamp with a pink silk shade. On the little table there is a stereo cassette recorder. You see, I am fond of music and often enjoy listening to the lovely melody. My divan-bed stands near the standard lamp. There are two water colours and my portrait on the wall above the divan-bed. The floor in my room is covered with a thick carpet. Besides, I grow a lot of flowers in my rooms. You can see them everywhere: on the window-sill, on the bookcase, on the little table, on the walls. I take care of the flowers and water them regularly.
To cut the long story short, I should admit that my room is very attractive and I like it very much.

If to judge in opinion that our room can show, who we, means I very disseminated. At me in a room very often disorder, but for that I can always find all in it. It is possible to name this disorder creative. Though I am very often cleaned, the disorder comes again and again. But in a room there is no dust or any other dust. With me in a room there lives my younger sister, and it sometimes helps me to put things in order. It is all.

I live in a block of flats. It is a three-room flat which includes the kitchen, the tliving room, my bedroom and my sisters bedroom, but my room ofcourse is the best room! The walls in it painted with darck blue. My room is not realy big, but it is very cofortable and warm. The biggest part of it takes a bed, wich is very cool because it made from light blue suede. Opposit my bed is a big plasma.
So it is very hard to study in such a relaxing room, but I trying my best!

My house is situated on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea.It's a two-stored building with an attic. The house is made of logs. There is a huge garden with lots of different kinds of flowers and trees.
Well,my house is quite modern. It's all equipped with higt-tech technology. It's very convinient as it helps me to save much time and energy.
To discribe the house inside let's begin with the first floor. There is a living-room,a kitchen,a dining-room.Also my house includes a small swimming pool. The second floor disposes of two bathrooms,my own bedroom,a bedroom for guests,a billiard-room and a small garret.
There is a market,a shopping-center and a filling station near there.Of course, there are othen houses near mine. It's like a small villige on the coast of the sea. It's very prestigious to live here,so everyone, who has enough money,is trying to set up a house in such a wonderful place.

ATTENTION! you are doing the WRONG thing. I am not interested in rooms in your house. My question is WHY YOUR ROOM/FLAT IS SPECIAL AND HOW IT REFLECTS YOU

Mr. Pain said...

Such a strange question))))It's special because I live there)))

E.Yu. said...

Dear Mr.Pain it could have been special if you hadn't copied it from the Net. Your variant is available at different sites, for example, kulichiki. So, next time you'd better think, if you care about the next time, because I don't.

Generally speaking,i consider that room is very important thing, which can say about man more,
than he knews about himself.
If i decided to visit someone,i notify in advance, because i know, what disorder may be. Well it goes without saying that my room is especially, because there is a biggest store of different things. The begging from clothes to finish cosmetics and food around me.I am going to explay this phenomen now.My room speaking about me very much interesting. For example. i'm fond of beautiful clothes.espesially shoes. Shoes are my passion. If you come to my room, you see a lot of boxes with different shoes. I'm mad about it. Moreover there is my "magic" wardrobe. It is overfilled.I really don't know what to do with this. It's my great problem. My wardrobe is normal on overege, but i dream about the biggest wardrobe, in which i may hung a lot of clothes and my favourite dresses. Besides i think that evry woman have to have in her wardrobe a little black dress, but i have more than seven such dresses. I know it have already been illness. On top of that nofhing fit in my wardrobe. What a pity!Frankly speaking in spite of that i am a girl i've had disgusting disorder in my room. I can nothing do with it. I try yo fight, but it is impossible. Well it's only joke. My disorder is fully. It may happen with evry man, that's normal. There is one more thing to be noted, it's my bookcase. I'm proud of this thing.I have a home library. How it come across me? I'm presented it on my birthday. I've taken care of it since.I love it so much, because i love books and think that they are our best frieds. There is nothing like, spending my free time in reading to me.On the whole there is a classical literature foreign and russian. In addition there are fringed gold. Also if you come to me, you never get hungry, because i'm glutton and i have always a lot of different food, espessially chocolate.Aiso i don't usualle use cosmetics, but i love lipsticks and i have more than 100 items on my shelves.I collect them. I might as well add that my room is ordinary, but if you look closely at,you wil find out much about me.

I live in a three-room flat. My room is very light and air. I like my room, because it is only in this place I can retire, reflect on a life...Oh.. I have a wardrobe, a bed and a very-very old and beautiful mirrow in my room. It can be call as antiques, I think. It made from wood. It was an oak. It have carved amd metal parts. It is round. When my grandfather was a young man he was in Sophia, Bulgaria. He walked and saw a small shop. Its owner was a joiner. He made things by his hands and sold them there. My grandfather bought it and brought it. It was fantastic! And up till now this mirrow decorates my room. And I never exchange it on something other.

My apartment
I live in PFUR's student hostel and it is great!I think it's much more interesting to live
at the hostel than at home with my parents.
All my roommates are young and we always have fun together. We have a small radio in our
room and in the morning we listen to it and dance while we are getting ready for our day.
At home with my parents I didn't even pay atention to the radio, but now I realise things I
didn't notice before. We can't watch TV,because we only have half a channel and our Internet
isn't working, that's why we adore the radio so much!
I also have a very...different toilet! There aren't any posters of pop-stars or any posters of
beautiful guys there, but instead, posters from WWF about savung the anomals.I think that is very
strange:)
On the mirror in the hall we have photos of strange people. There were found by one of my roommates.
She is the kind of person that always find photos and student's cards in the most peaceful
places: inside a library book or at a metro station on the other side of Moscow.
In our kitchen the wallpaper is tearing off the wall and in my room I had to tape together parts
of the roof.
But still I love living here.My roommates are great and they take good care of me.They even bought me a mask
against the swine flu.

Dear, E.Yu.,
I think that such “private” things like a room can say a lot about an inner world of its inhabitant. We can judge by photos books, images, knick-knacks and so on.
For example I’ve got a little Tour Eiffel and one could suppose that I’ve been to Paris, or somebody presented it.
And if you see a shelf of lots of dictionaries, foreign books and text-books you would have no doubt that I study foreign languages…
So I think that a real room should be a part of us…some kind of. Because it is place where we can relax, where we can feel like we are. And all that “stuff” makes our room cozy and gives us good emotions and memories.

My room isn't reflection of me.It isn't my room at all and i can't do something to change it,but i try.I try to hang some pictures(for example Salvador Dali),some photos of mine on the walls, but it still isn't my room.I have some creative disorder, which i really like and i'm already used to this))
Friends of mine feel very comfortable in my room and they always said that it's strange creative room, but i often prefer not to be at home.

My room is definitely MY room )))
First of all, because there are only books I have read and like very much. Other books are placed in the other room. Secondly, there are very much dictionaries there, Russian and German and English. Thirdly, there is a plexiglass on my table and I put under it many interesting things, e.g. museum tickets, cards with aphorisms or picture postcards. There are also many house plants in my room which make it livelier. The design of my room also reflects my character: there is warm beige wallpaper on the walls and the ceiling is painted white. That makes my room look bright and friendly. Although it is very small, it is mine and I like it.

My room is my own space, I feel comfortable in it. In spite of this I always want to change many things, because some pieces of furniture don’t go with others. I have low furniture in my room. I used to have great number of high and dark ones, their presence made my room smaller and gloomier. I decided to get rid of them, now I have less place to put things in, but I’m satisfied. I have photo frames, but I put pictures instead of photos there. On my door there are a lot of photos of different cities. Excepting my bed, there are two sittings in my room. The first one is my computer chair and the second one – a big blue ball. Sometimes it’s very comfortable to sit on it. I like bags, that’s why I have a hook on the wall especially for them.

Unfortunately, I have no own room…Worst of all I have never had it in my life. To be honest the thoughts of it make me very sad, because wherever I was, nowhere I feel comfortable and relaxed, even at home. I wish I had an opportunity to change this situation…
Of course I have some so-called corners in my flat. They are my bad, my writing table and my computer table. You can find nothing interesting there, really, only a mess. The things that can arouse interest in someone are always hidden so that nobody could find them.) So, on my writing table there are piles of books, especially textbooks and dictionaries, because the literature I read is generally in a foreign language and sometimes I need to check unknown words. And it’s much more pleasant to hold a good dictionary with your own hands than to use an online one. The next thing I’ve mentioned is my computer table...so...there’s also a mess there))) It’s a joke.) The table isn’t even dusty, because I love my computer and look after it.) There are a lot of discs with computer games on it. To speak frankly I have a thing about them, but now I play rather seldom. And the last my so-called corner is my bad, where my big lazy cat likes to spend his time (it’s a male).
The idea of all the design belongs to my parents, I’ve never took part in the renovation. If I had my own room it would look quite different. I think it would be designed in black and white style. These colors are very appealing to me.
